Elon Musk to host Saturday Night Live
CEO of Tesla will be live in New York on May 8th.
CEO of Tesla and master of Doge memes, Elon Musk, is set to host Saturday Night Live on May 8th with musical guest Miley Cyrus. This surprising hosting gig is not Elon's first rodeo in entertainment, having had roles in South Park, The Simpsons, and Rick and Morty. The television show has been under fire on Twitter for making their host choice; the last time SNL had a wealthy businessman on the show was Donald Trump in 2015, and of course, people complained about that too.

The announcement turned a few heads as it sparked controversy on social media where many wondered why the NBC show was giving one of the world's wealthiest men such a prominent platform. Aside from SEC probes, Musk has also been criticized for cyberbullying critics, manipulating cryptocurrency prices, downplaying the coronavirus pandemic, and scoffing at government lockdowns. Tesla is also facing multiple federal investigations into crashes of its vehicles and whether its Autopilot feature was in use at the time of them.
Having Elon Musk host SNL seriously feels like the show's biggest misstep since having Trump host

Okay, I know I’m probably falling into some sort of capitalist trap here, but I will give Elon Musk one billion dollars to not host SNL.

It will be interesting to see if he can win over the crowd that for some reason have a strong disdain for wealthy individuals.
