Cornhole is trying to get into the Olympics
With amateur participation rapidly growing, cornhole is trying to get on the biggest stage in international sports.
"We like to say that we’re the only sport that can be played at another professional or college sporting event. The portability of our game is unique. And, obviously, we want to make cornhole an Olympic sport.” -@iplaycornhole commissioner and founder Stacey Moore pic.twitter.com/iS33NknK0M

At this point, why not? The Olympics are a time to showcase odd sports people don't get to watch often. If you really think about it, it's like ESPN The Ocho but on an international scale.
The question becomes if cornhole is a global game. It's obviously one of the most famous yard games in America. Throwing bags with your boys at a tailgate on a beautiful crisp fall day is peak tailgate season. Although it's fun and games when you play with your friends, the professional cornhole players are no joke.
Cornhole would also be a perfect Olympic sport people watch from their couch and swear they could win a gold medal. For me, I think I could be pretty decent at speed walking if I got the proper training. When I see cornhole clips, I tell myself I can probably do what they do. I then quickly remind myself I overshoot the board often.
Cornhole is growing at a rapid rate, with the league signing television deals with three networks. A yard game you play with your friends when you're drunk has turned into a full-blown sports league. Is Kan-Jam next?
