Wait... How did Tyrod Taylor get Hurt???
Chargers team doctors picks up Justin Herbert in fantasy football, purposely hurts Tyrod Taylor.
Justin Herbert made his surprise NFL debut when it was reported Tyrod Taylor was out due to chest pains.
It turns out it was much more than just chest pains...
The Chargers’ team doctor accidentally punctured his own quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s lung just before kickoff Sunday while trying to administer a pain-killing injection to the quarterback’s cracked ribs, league and team sources told ESPN.

According to former NFL players, everyone is warned that there is a slight chance your lungs can get punctured if you shoot up a pain killer near the rib cage. Still, something doesn't seem right here.
I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and took a long drag of my disposable vape to get to the bottom of this.
The Chargers drafted Justin Herbert with the 6th overall pick in the draft last spring. Taylor didn't play particularly well last week against a bad Bengals team. Did Anthony Lynn and Tom Telesco instruct the doctor to do this on purpose so they can bench Taylor without hurting his feelings? Hm.
Anthony Lynn even said he's not mad at the doctor that punctured his QB's lungs. That to me was a discreet way to say "good job" at completing the job.
Regardless, I think the Chargers got their wish. Herbert balled out and took the Chiefs to overtime. I can't see the Chargers turn back to Taylor even though Lynn insists Taylor is still the starter when he's healthy.
Anthony Lynn elaborating on why Tyrod Taylor is still his starter: "There's a lot we didn't get done with Justin on the field yesterday. He's a backup for a reason." #Chargers

We'll see how this all plays out but if Herbert balls out against the Panthers this week, Tyrod Taylor is going back to rocking a headset and holding a clipboard.
