UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Holland Picks and Predictions

Derek Brunson vs Kevin Holland

Kevin Holland has made himself into a bit of a star in the UFC in 2020 with some good performances against mostly lower tier competition with his best win being against Ronaldo Souza. He’s entertaining, down to bang, and talks during his fights. Holland is fun to watch but this is way too steep of a leap for him. Brunson has taken a few lumps in his career but he hasn’t lost to a single fighter in the UFC that wasn’t elite. Since his last loss he’s taken a more measured approach and utilized his wrestling more. The result? Three straight wins and a finish over a hot prospect where he was a big underdog. I haven’t seen anything from Holland’s fights that suggests he has anything that Brunson can’t deal with. Holland is long and awkward, but he’s not better than Brunson.

Tai Tuivasa vs Harry Hunsucker

Tai Tuivasa is well established as a powerful but rough around the edges heavyweight. Harry Hunsucker is pretty bad as far as UFC heavyweights go, there’s no other way to slice it. He’s lost to every UFC heavyweight he fought and all of them have been pretty low-tier themselves. I hate to sound like this because I truly respect every person that steps inside of the UFC octagon but this is an easy fight for Tai.
