The NFL Ruins Thanksgiving

The NFL hates America, postpones the best Thanksgiving game.

This holiday season is definitely going to be unique. Family gatherings are expected to be smaller, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your family.

Of course, with COVID, nothing has been the same. You're no longer forced to go to your local bar to see every person to ever walk the halls at your high school the night before Thanksgiving. I guess it's a good thing to avoid awkward small talk with Julie from your 9th-grade science class.

The only thing that's normal about this Thanksgiving is having a full slate of NFL games to soak in. Today, the NFL completely screwed America over when they announced changes to their Thanksgiving schedule.

I understand it's for the health and safety for the teams, but man was this a gut-punch.

With the earlier games being Lions-Texans and Cowboys-Washington Football Team, it's almost like the NFL wanted us to suffer before we got to the main event. Now we're stuck with two shitty games with no football past 7:30. It throws the entire Thanksgiving schedule through a loop. What I would've tried to do is watch the Lions game and take a quick nap before the Cowboys game. I would've missed the beginning of the Cowboys game, but I'd be well rested for the night game, which is usually the best out of the three.

What am I supposed to do now? I guess what I'm supposed to say is it's 2020's fault. That's how it works, right?
