Seth Rogen’s Cannabis Company Is Coming To the US

The Canadian marijuana business will hit California dispensaries next week.

Seth Rogen’s cannabis company, Houseplant, will launch in the US this month. Rogen announced his exciting business venture via a tweet, saying, “If you know anything about me at all, I am going to assume it's that I really love weed.”

His company plans to make flower and ceramic products available in California dispensaries. On Houseplant’s Canadian website though, you can see they offer flower, soft gels, pre-rolls, and beverages. Their marketing strategy is innovative and something we haven’t seen much of in the cannabis industry. The goal for Houseplant is to give the same attention to detail to marijuana and weed-related products as we have for any other product, such as headphones.

“Our strategy has always been the same, and that is to treat cannabis like the product that it is—which is the best product... In a world where things like headphones get incredible attention to detail, in terms of how they’re designed, presented, and marketed, we think weed is a thousand times better than headphones. Why is weed not getting that amount of attention?” - Seth Rogen

Houseplant’s products are designed with a mid-century modern aesthetic that is new when it comes to cannabis products, which could make them stand out. People will buy anything that is celebrity-endorsed, but this feels more authentic knowing that Rogen owns the company and actually uses his product all day every day.

One strain in particular that Seth Rogen tweeted about, Pancake Ice, boasts over 33% THC. Jesus Christ.

That thing looks frosty.
