Nike Wants Everyone To Know That They Do Not Worship Satan

Lil Nas X has always been one of the most eccentric artists out there. I mean who else would think of releasing a pair of shoes that worship the devil? The “Old Town Road” artist collabed with the streetwear company MSCHF on a pair of “Satan Shoes” that sold for $1,018 a pair. Oh, and there were 666 pairs released. The shoes released today and sold out in under a minute.

Each pair contains a drop of blood in the sole of the shoe from members of the MSCHF team. The shoes are modified Air Max 97s, which Nike made clear they had no part of in a statement: "We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF. Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them." Besides the whole Satan-worshipping thing, I think these shoes don’t look too bad.

With a stroke of marketing genius, Lil Nas X also released a contender for the most ridiculous music video of all time on Friday for his latest single named “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. In the video, Lil Nas X starts out in what looks to be the Garden of Eden. He is then seduced by a human-looking serpent creature, ending up in hell and giving Satan a lap dance before he snaps Satan’s neck and takes his horns. Check out the video if you want to be disturbed, just keep in mind you can never unsee it once you hit play.
