Maverick McNealy's Childhood Home is Insane
Golfer Maverick McNealy's childhood home is your dream house.
Everyone was watching the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this weekend, right? I'm sorry, just adjusting to Sundays without football.
The runner-up of the tournament Maverick McNealy happens to be the son of super-tech businessman Scott McNealy. I'm not sure what he does, but he's one of those ridiculously rich tech nerds that live in Silicon Valley. How rich is he? Well, he sold his company to Oracle for $5.6 billion.
When his son placed second over the weekend, of course Darren Rovell knew all about this kid's childhood home.

It was never about the $.
His father is Scott McNealy, former CEO of Sun Microsystems, is worth more than $1B. Their home with 3 private holes is on the market for $54M. pic.twitter.com/J5iBYHI8nG
I don't care who you are or how much money your dad has. Making close to a million bucks for four days' work is fucking awesome for anyone.
Anyways, I did a little more research on this home and it's absolutely insane. The house sits on 13.4 acres and is 32,400 square feet. The 5 bedrooms, 7.5 bathroom house is currently listed for $53.5 million.
I guess to start, we have to talk about the private practice course in his backyard.

This is every golfer's dream. To step right out to your backyard and get a few hacks during the day must be awesome. Your work productivity is most definitely going down, but at least your golf game will be a little better. When you have three private holes and two putting greens in your backyard, you have fuck you money.

What's crazy about this house is the golf course isn't the craziest part about it. Have you ever seen a 7,300 square foot hockey rink placed in someone's home?

How the hell did this guy put a full blown hockey rink outside his house? How much does that cost?
Of course, every mansion needs a beautiful pool.

The house also has an indoor basketball court, movie theater, pizza room with dance floor, poker room, and much more. There are so many amenities in this house, I could write a full-blown 5,000-word blog about it.
So yeah, it's safe to say I won't be buying this home anytime soon. To be honest, who has the money to buy a $50 million home?! Just shows that some men really do have it all.
