JJ Watt Is Going to the Arizona Cardinals

JJ Watt agrees to a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.

After weeks of speculation on where the future Hall of Famer is going to end up, JJ Watt found his new home.

Earlier today, people thought JJ Watt narrowed his choice to three teams according to a fake Peloton account.

Watt quickly rejected the speculation, claiming he doesn't own a bike.

It looks like Watt is headed to the desert, signing a two-year deal with the Cardinals.

I think JJ Watt is still a good player, but with his injury history and age, I'm not the biggest fan of giving him $23 million guaranteed. Regardless, this move definitely gives the Cardinals a much-needed presence on the defensive line. With veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson likely headed out, Watt gives the Cardinals defense a veteran leader as well. Watt also joins his former teammate, Deandre Hopkins.

The Cardinals are a very interesting team going into 2021. They obviously had their flashes, but ultimately fell short when it mattered most. With Kingsbury and Murray entering year three, they need to make the playoffs. They have the talent to be a good team.

Watt becomes the first big signing in free agency. It's going to be strange seeing him in another uniform.
