Jeff Garcia Blasts Cam Newton

Old NFL QB upset about how Cam Newton dresses after the blowout loss.

Sash

Coming off a blowout loss against the 49ers, Jeff Garcia did not hold back when he brought up Cam Newton's post-game outfit.

Gameday outfits have become much more popular in the past few years. Cam has been at the forefront with some of his eye-catching fashion choices.

Should athletes be more cautious about what they wear at post-game press conferences? Absolutely not. Here's another boomer trying to find something to get mad at. Cam's outfit choice had nothing to do with the Pats getting blown out.

Cam later commented on Garcia's comments:

Knowing Cam's history, I thought he was going to explode on Garcia for talking about another man's style. Instead, he went the mature route and killed him with kindness.

I do agree with Garcia that Cam looks ridiculous in his post-game press conference. When we get a sad Cam Newton rocking a bright pink suit with a top hat, it's hard to take him seriously. At the end of the day, Cam is a southern boy who loves his pastels. I highly doubt he spends more time on his outfits than he does game planning.

I'm not too worried about the Pats considering they were decimated by COVID. If there's one rule we all follow, it's never to bet against Bill Belichick.

Maybe Cam grants Garcia's wishes and comes out next game dressed like Belichick. I still want to see Cam rocking his bright suits and top hats. Maybe one day we'll live in a world where retired QB's don't get mad at irrelevant things that happen off the field, but until then, keep at it Cam.
