The defending U.S. Open champion allegedly said no to being paired with Brooks Koepka at the upcoming U.S. Open. Brad Faxon reported that the USGA approached Bryson and his agent about a possible pairing with Koepka, but Bryson declined. Here's the full quote from Faxon.

Bryson has to man up and play with Brooks. That's all the fans want, and it's about growing the game, right? In my opinion, Brooks is dominating this rivalry. It was reported that Bryson had fans kicked out at the Memorial when they called him Brooksie. Now he's declining to play with him at the U.S. Open?
In my opinion, when you start a beef with someone, you can't back away and ask them to stop. This all started a few years ago when Bryson took some shots at Brooks when he was streaming Fortnite. Now that Brooks is dominating him in this beef, he wants it to go away?
The only way we're going to get a Bryson and Brooks pairing is if they play well enough into the weekend. Imagine Sunday at Torrey Pines with Brooks and Bryson playing for the U.S. Open trophy? That's must-watch television.
